Field service software for work at the customer site

Field service is hard for two reasons: you cannot see who is free when, and nothing gets written down until you are back. The first leads to double bookings. The second leads to invoices written from memory a week later.

Catch double bookings before they reach the customer

When a visit is assigned to a technician, Revintia checks for time conflicts and flags any it finds, instead of saving two appointments on top of each other. The board updates itself when a colleague plans, so everyone works from the same plan.

The technician has the case on their phone

Customer, address, equipment and fault description travel with the technician. The address can be opened in a map app, and time and mileage can be recorded on the case during the visit.

Get photos onto the right case without an extra user account

Revintia can create a QR code for one specific case. A customer or colleague can use it to send photos straight to that case without getting access to the rest of the system. The code only works for that case, and it expires.

Invoicing starts on site

Completed work, hours, mileage and parts are recorded on the case while the visit is still fresh. That gives the office a more complete starting point when the invoice is prepared.

What this covers

  • Planning that catches double bookings and flags the conflict
  • The case on a phone, with customer, address and fault description
  • The address opens straight in a map app
  • QR code so photos can be uploaded without a login
  • Time, mileage and parts recorded during the visit
  • A field service report per case, with time, mileage and work done

Frequently asked questions

What happens if two planners book the same technician at once?

The board updates itself when a colleague plans a visit, so you see each other’s bookings straight away. If two planners book the same technician at the same moment, one waits for the other to finish and then sees the overlap before anything is saved.

Does it work without internet in the van?

Only partly. Cases are loaded over the internet, so you need a connection to open one. If you lose signal along the way, a new time entry without photos is kept on the phone and sent when the connection returns.

Can the customer follow the visit?

Yes, if you give the customer a portal code for the case. The customer can then see the status and write to you without creating an account.

Can we use it for both workshop and field service?

Yes. Each case has a type, so workshop cases and field service cases can be kept apart in the list and in reports, while everything stays in the same system.
