Parts inventory software for service and repair jobs

Parts rarely disappear in one dramatic event. They drift through small movements: something arrives, something is used on a job, something is returned, and eventually the number in the system no longer matches the shelf. Revintia records inventory as movements, so the quantity has a history instead of being just a number someone can overwrite.

Stock quantity follows the movement history

Goods received, parts used on cases, returns and adjustments are recorded as stock movements. The current quantity is updated from those movements, and an item created with opening stock gets an opening movement, so the starting figure can still be explained later.

Parts can stay linked to the case they were used on

When a part from stock is added on the case itself, the stock movement is linked to that case and reduces stock once. Closing or reopening the case later does not use up the same part again.

Find the item and see when stock is low

Each item can have a part number, a storage location and a minimum quantity, and it can be searched. When stock reaches or falls below the minimum, the item shows up in the stock figures, and you can list only the items that are running low.

Receipts are posted once to the right item

When a purchase line on a case is marked as received into stock, the receipt is posted to the linked item. If the same line is received twice at the same moment, only one stock movement is created.

What this covers

  • Part number, name, unit and storage location on the item
  • Inventory movements with reason, note and history
  • Parts used are linked directly to the case
  • Minimum stock level and visibility of items below minimum
  • Ordered parts posted to the right stock item when they arrive
  • Stock cannot be overwritten, only changed through a movement

Frequently asked questions

Does Revintia block usage when stock would go below zero?

Yes. Revintia rejects any usage that would take the quantity below zero. The item has to be received or adjusted into stock first, so the figure can always be explained by its movements.

Can a technician take a part directly to a job?

Yes. The part can be recorded against the specific case, and the stock movement stays linked to that case while the quantity is updated.

Can the same receipt be added to stock twice?

The same receipt line is posted only once. Even if several attempts happen at the same time, only one inventory movement is created for that line.

Can we delete an item that already has stock history?

No. An item with posted movements cannot be deleted, so its stock history always stays in place.
